We ship our oyster orders on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week. There is an estimated 1 day delivery from your chosen shipping date. We offer free 1-day ground shipping to zip codes within our zone, and $35 flat rate shipping to all other locations in the US. You can check which shipping zone you are in on the product page by searching your zip-code. At this time we do not ship oysters to California.
Please keep in mind that the date that you have selected at checkout is the SHIPPING day, not the DELIVERY day. There is an estimated 1 day delivery from the selected shipping date. If you have verified this information and you still think there is an error, we can help you out!
At the moment we are not offering tours. Stay tuned for updates about tours on our website and social media.
Every month we rotate the oyster variety available, so you get a chance to try each one! Oyster subscriptions are shipped and billed automatically every 4, 8, or 12 weeks from the selected shipping date at checkout. Our shipping days are only Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Use the Customer login at the top right corner of our website to access your subscription account (person icon next to the shopping bag icon), where you can configure your subscription settings.
The Oyster of the Month Club is also available to send as a gift. A virtual gift certificate is sent via email that covers the cost of the selected amount of monthly subscriptions. The gift receiver will add the product to their cart and the gift code will be applied and automatically recur each month until it runs out. The gift receiver is required to enter their credit card information, and will be billed after the gift subscription period runs out, if they would like to continue. The gift receiver may be subject to $35 shipping fee based on their location, so you may want to check their zip-code for our shipping rates on the product page, and purchase them a gift card to also cover shipping fees.
Most people find it surprising, but oysters have a pretty good shelf life. They’re simple organisms. It doesn’t take much to send them into hibernation mode. Store them in a fridge, cup side down, with a wet paper towel over them. They’ll be safe to eat for at least a week. You’ll know they’re dead if they open up.
Your package should have arrived with some printed literature naming the oyster variety. Explore this map for a general area of where each oyster is grown. You’ll notice the saltier oysters are grown closer to the ocean, while the sweeter ones are grown near rivers and creeks.Â
Our packaging practices have been verified safe by a third party. We go an extra step to ensure safety. Please refer to the little tab (Time Temperature Indicator) that’s on the inside of your package’s cooler. While most UPS packages arrive on time, sometimes there’s mistakes. If the tab says there was a temperature breach then just shoot us an email and we will find a way to correct it. For risks associated with eating raw oysters, please visit the FDA’s website on Advice about Eating Fish.Â
