It’s been a busy year for the Barnegat Oyster Collective team and for the oyster farmers of coastal New Jersey. We have much to catch you up on, but before the updates, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of our cause through those difficult pandemic times. Ordering oysters for enjoyment at home is what kept us alive for many months and we wouldn’t have made it without you.
Our New Headquarters!
Nestled along the banks of Double Creek, a few hundred yards from the center of the Barnegat Bay, is our newly acquired marina. It is hard to overstate how a waterfront property has and will continue to benefit the shellfish aquaculture industry.
Over the next 6-12 months, we plan to transform HQ into a space for you to come and see what oyster farming is all about while enjoying some fresh morsels from the bay. We’ll be keeping you up to date on this process through our newsletter and on social media @barnegatoyster.
